About Me

I was born and raised in Northern New York, in a small town called Massena. I was introduced into the culinary world at a very young age. My parents owned a local mom and pop grocery store call The Big M. I was fortunate enough to great parents who supported my dream of becoming a Chef. After a few years traveling the country after high school, I enrolled in Johnson & Wales University to pursue my dream of becoming a Chef. After graduating culinary school, I moved to Colorado and took my fist position as a Sous Chef at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield Colorado. Shortly thereafter, I relocated back to the eastern shore, to Ocean City MD where I took my first job as an Executive Chef. For the last 10 years or so, I've worked at several different restaurants, hotels and country and yacht clubs. I earned the Delmarva Chef of the Year award in 2007 sanctioned by the American Culinary Foundation, and was a two time bronze medalist in their regional cooking competition. In early 2013, my wife and I relocated to Raleigh North Carolina where I became Executive Chef of The Sheraton Hotel and the new Jimmy V's Osteria + Bar in downtown Raleigh. I am now on to my next project and I am very excited to share the details of my next journey! For more details, stay tuned to chefsct.blogspot.com
